How to get there

From Denver International Airport (DEN) travel 195 km by bus that departs every 1.5 hours. From Vail/Eagle County Airport (EGE), located 110 km from the resort, buses depart daily at scheduled intervals of 2.5 hours.

Trails in Vail are located on both sides of the ridge in three ski areas: Front Side, Back Bowles and Blue Sky Basin.

Vail Front Side includes 127 slopes for skiers of all categories. This zone can be roughly divided into three areas: the east side, the central mountain and the west side. The east side is for calm skiing, advanced skiers and lovers of virgin lands. Central mountain – trails for calm skiing, “advanced” skiers and long trails for the average level. West – steep trails for “pros” and trails for beginners.

For children, the resort has a specialized ski center in the Golden Peak area, with tempting attractions “Chaos Canyon” or “Magic Forest”.

The Back Bowles ski area has mostly difficult slopes, but there are also a few sections for intermediate skiers. Blue Sky Basin has trails for intermediates, professional skiers and snowboarders.

In total, there are 190 slopes in Vail, the most popular of which are Back Bowls, Gorky Park, Red Square, Rasputin’s Revenge, and the Blue Sky Basin ski area equipped with a high-speed lift system. A single ski pass allows you to ski on the slopes of neighboring resorts such as Arapahoe Basin, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone. The cost per person is from 108 USD. Equipment rental for 6 days will cost about 350 USD. A lesson with an instructor costs approximately 180 USD.
